BRIEF

Capturing beautiful moments of mom and daughter in traditional custom Ao Dai

LOCATION

Very Dep Studio | Hanoi Vietnam

As Tet (Lunar New Year) is coming around the corner, Thu and her mother decided to come to our studio for an Ao Dai (the Vietnamese traditional clothing piece) portrait shoot. With a matching set of Ao Dai in a more modern design with Thu in pink and her mother in green, we were able to capture moments of the duo with the signature flower of the new year - the cherry blossom. We love seeing the two of them interacting with each other during the shoot. Thu’s mom takes care of her baby to the smallest details, from fixing her hair to straightening the front of the Ao Dai if needed. We can feel the love and respect that Thu had for her mother. She also asked us to take solo portraits for her mom as her mother never had the chance to have professional photos of her taken.

Seeing the beauty of the Vietnamese women passed on from generation to generation warm our hearts and it is our honor to capture these precious moments. We wish them a happy and prosperous new year.
