Inspired by the Netflix’s recent series “The Queen’s Gambit”, Monabelle reached out to our Facebook page at Very Dep Photography Studio for a Pet & Human portrait session. After our detailed discussion with Monabelle, we had arranged the studio to have specific lighting set up, aiming to capture an epic chess match between Monabelle and Cloudy - the Persian cat.
Upon their arrival, Monabelle spent some time to have her hair and make-up done while Cloudy ventured around the office to familiarize himself with his studio. After everyone was settled the two of them sat down for a mock chess match. In order to capture the act of Cloudy moving one of the chess pieces, we smeared some tasty cat’s creamy treat on the chess piece to draw his interest. The two of them did not stop their fun at just the chessboard and switched to the ball tower afterward. Cloudy was very interested in playing with the balls that tirelessly ran in circles.
Our session went by quickly as Cloudy and Monabelle were open with trying out different ideas and layouts. It was our pleasure to welcome Cloudy and Monabelle to our studio to execute various settings and themes. We wish the two of them all the best and thank you Monabelle and Cloudy for trusting us to capture vision.
