Capturing Aden’s skill and passion with ballet

This is the second time we’ve had Aden to our studio for a photo shoot, the first being a family/pet portrait session. This time Aden was here for a solo portrait session and chose our Express Yourself package for individuals that want a portrait series focused on a concept of either a skill they have, an artistic side of them they want to showcase, or just to capture something about their personality.

For Aden’s shoot, our concept was focused on his growth as a ballet dancer. Soon he will be moving back to Australia and his mother wanted a moment of his time here studying ballet with his instructor James. James was in the studio with us to help us direct the poses and positions for Aden.

We went with very dramatic lighting to mimic a performance and to highlight body positioning and the grace and beauty that goes into ballet.
